Five Day 40 was formed in the summer of 2001 right here in the Mount Washington Valley. The six-piece ensemble quickly rose to the top of the local music scene, drawing large crowds to all of their shows. Their high-energy performances and original music have continually been the inspiration for frenzied dancing and social levity.

The band maintains a busy schedule, playing at venues all over New England. Last Spring, Five Day 40 took the show on the road for six weeks, taking their funky sound as far as Ohio, Colorado, Wyoming and California. Live performance remains the focus of the band, and they are sure to kick off the Valley Jam with a bang.

Five Day 40’s music is continually evolving. Their original songs are a synthesis of the six members’ shared and individual tastes and influences. Lead singer Jim Moorehead’s passionate and poetic delivery of poignant lyrics brings home the soulful musical expressions of the players. The resulting songs are immediately engaging.
