Sean has been playing stringed and percussion instruments since the
age of nine, giving him twenty-two years of playing experience.
Sean has taken over ten years of private guitar instruction
including six years studying classical guitar, and two years
studying jazz guitar. Sean spent his first year of college at
Berklee College of Music in Boston, majoring in professional music
with guitar as his primary instrument. After much deliberation, he
left the school and decided to complete his Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration.
Sean started recording his own material at the age of fourteen,
completing his first three-song demo on a 4-track Tascam tape deck.
Since that time he has written and recorded many original tracks, as
well as collaborated with other local artists on many other
originals. He is currently recording all of his material in his
home studio on a 16-track Akai professional digital audio
workstation. He has been burning all of the copies and printing all
of the media of his current demo ‘COMINATCHA’ at home, hoping to
further his career as a recording/performing artist in the
professional music industry.
Sean has played in many local bands around the Boston area including
‘Burnt Toast’, ‘Dogwood’ and currently ‘The Nation’. He can be seen
playing on the North Shore of Boston, most frequently at ‘Dodge
Street’ in Salem, and ‘The Rio Grande’ in Danvers. He has also
played in downtown clubs such as ‘The Channel’ behind South Station,
and ‘Venus DeMilo’ on Landsdowne Street by Fenway Park. Over those
years he has had the opportunity to back up more popular groups
including ‘The Fools’, ‘Tribe’, and ‘Farrenheit’.
Sean’s band ‘The Nation’ is currently playing covers from a wide
range of groups from classic Led Zeppelin, SRV, and Steely Dan, to
more current groups like STP, and Dave Matthews Band. Playing in
this band keeps his skills on instruments and vocals sharp, but his
primary and long-term goals are heavily focused on propelling
himself into a full-time music career. He is currently writing more
material, and trying to get his demo heard by the right people. |
